Very nice place to stay. The staff are polite and welcoming. The breakfast is extensive and includes fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, different kinds of bread, ham. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 5-minute walk to the center of town. Parking is available in front of the hotel and is easy to access.

The doors in the building slam very easily, causing noise disruptions and early wake-ups. It would have been appreciated if the hotel could have extended breakfast hours, especially during a local festival when many guests were attending.

The beds were comfortable. We even had a small balcony where you could relax. The value for money is great, wifi, good breakfast, nice staff!

An excellent option to visit the fortified towns of Castelo de Vide and Marvao. The hotel is a nice detail in the fascinating combination of nature and artifacts in that region. I recommend to choose a pedestrian route to Marvao through lovely countryside.

I had a delightful stay at this hotel, which offers excellent value for money. The location is perfect, being just a short walk away from the city center. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that all my needs were met. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, with the added bonus of a balcony. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options including natural orange juice. I was very impressed with the attention to detail and the overall service provided by this hotel.

We had a delightful stay at Hotel Castelo De Vide. Katharina at the reception desk was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The pool was refreshing, and the area surrounding it was warm and sunny in the afternoon. The breakfast self-service had a wide variety of hot and cold choices, including a selection of coffees from the machine. The location of the hotel was perfect, with plenty of parking available, and just a short and level walk to the main square and castle.

Not prepared for winter, room heating and shower temperature were well below expectation.

Room was freezing. I slept in thermals & ski socks, had the heater on full, had 3 blankets on the bed and I was still really really cold. Breakfast room in the morning was very cold too. Would be perfect in summer, not so good in winter. Could not get internet in the room.

Great welcoming staff and a refreshing pool for relaxing during the warm afternoons. The breakfast offered a huge variety with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, including different types of coffee. the convenient location provided easy access to the major attractions in the city.

The rooms definitely need a renovation as they lack comfortable pillows, small televisions, and poor Wi-Fi. the building suffers from poor sound insulation as the doors slam very easily, creating noise which felt unbearable at times.

Disappointed that we could not have dinner on the day we arrived - groups only! Also, we think not taking credit cards is not in accord with modern practice

There is a local bar next to the hotel. They play very loud music till 2am. That's not the fault of the hotel... But you should bring ear blogs with you...or just head over and jump into the party

Great breakfast selection with a variety of options from bacon and eggs to pastries. The view from the balcony overlooking the pool and the surrounding area was absolutely stunning. the hotel's location made it easy to explore the city.

The lack of air conditioning in the room became unbearable, especially during the summer months. we were disappointed to find out that the hotel's restaurant was closed for dinner and had to resort to eating at a restaurant across the street.

Staff were excellent - however not aware prior to stay that the restaurant was not open which made life difficult and the room at times was cold

See above possibly would be better during high season but would not recommend to anyone at the time of year we stayed.
